Have been at Punsand Bay for the last 4 days. Has been beautiful weather with the odd shower here and there. Am leaving now heading for Weipa.

Would love to give a big shout out to the Punsand Bay Resort (caravan park) it has new owners - Rod, Anne & Jack and have to say it is very hard to pack up the tent and leave this piece of paradise. Located right on the beach it is the most northern caravan park. Hot showers clean toilets. Washing mahine facilities. A full bar offering all meals for those times when you can't be bothered firing up your own cooking stove. A refreshing swimming pool. 1km absolute beach frontage.

Every day I have dropped my line in and have caught plenty catching and releasing except for 1 that Jack was more than happy to cook up for us - cant get any fresher than that! A short distance from the sign at the tip which is a must see. So I highly recommend this park for your shirt or long stay when at the tip.
