Distance and time to drive between Archer River RH and Bramwell Junction Roadhouse

Hi Kat,

Firstly, I bought your book late last year (in preparation for my Cape trip in 2017) ... fantastic book!! Congratulations and well done. I've sent your website to all my 4wd mates.

I've looked through the Guide and I can't seem to find the answer to the below question.

Could you please tell me how many km there are between Archer River Roadhouse and Bramwell Junction Homestead(near the start of the OTT) ... the direct route (not via Weipa)and how long it actually takes driving between the two?

Google states its 166km and 7hours driving. Is that right? Could you confirm a rough travelling time between these two locations.

Many thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat,
by: Katrin

Thank you :-)

The distance between Archer and Bramwell is 165 km.

That stretch of the road happens to be a good one, so last time i drove home about a week ago it took me 1.5 hours.

That was without stopping, i just wanted to get home.

If you want to take it easy, stop for photos and look-around in places like Wenlock River etc you will have to add that time.

Kat.

P.S. there is a distance map on page 77 and a distance table on page 43, i will make sure Bramwell goes in there :-)
