HELLO THERE,

I AM HOPEFULLY HEADING TO THE CAPE IN JULY WITH MY WIFE AND I HAVE A STANDARD 2005 4X4 HILUX DUELCAB AND BEING STANDARD IS IT GOOD ENOUGH TO GET THER WITHOUT ALL THE EXTRA MOD CONS??

ALSO WHAT IS THE BEST ROADS TO GET ONTO.WE DO A LITTLE BIT OF 4X4 DRIVING IN VICTORIA AND EXPERIENCE IS NOT THE PROBLEM I JUST DONT WANT TO DAMAGE MY PRIDE AND JOY.

By all the sounds you'll be fine.

The only thing i could mention is a snorkel, as we generally do have more creek and river crossings than down south, but other than that, if you are used to doing half serious four wheel drive tracks in Victoria, and all your mod cons are enough for them there, your standard Hilux should be perfectly fine up here.

The more famous tracks include the Old Telegraph Track, Frenchmans Road, Running Creek Track, Old Coen Track, CREB Track etc (there are also some smaller, less known ones that will still be closed in July).
